#073 - HISTORY
This is a historic airplane, the so-called JU 52 or "Auntie Ju". It belongs to a series of aircrafts that have been built from the 1930s to the 1950s by Junkers, mostly used by the military. There are only a few of them left and nowadays they are mostly used for sightseeing flights over some of the biggest cities in Germany. Every now and then, like today, it circles over Dresden and I can always get a good peek at it from my balcony. The weather was especially cooperative today. Picture taken on May 26, 2008.

#045 - CELEBRATE
On May 18, 2008 the new organ of the Protestant Cathedral of Magdeburg, Germany was dedicated. The dedication was celebrated with a big concert and a whole week of concerts and an organ competition. This picture was taken was taken on May 17, 2008 during the rehearsal for the celebratorial concert. More than 200 singers and musicians performed the Glagolitic Mass by Leos Janacek.
#210 - MAGIC
The festivities surrounding the dedication of the new organ included two concerts by the famous King's Singers. In both concerts they captured the audience with their magical singing and more than once I had tears in my eyes, wishing that it wasn't an all-male ensemble so I could join them and spend my life singing with them... *sigh* Picture taken on May 19, 2008.
