#342 - SUMMER
I spent the last week at the Baltic Sea with a few friends for some well deserved relaxation and to sing a few concerts as a double quartet. I finally lucked out with the weather up there because ever since the first time I've been there I never was lucky to get summer weather. But this time it actually was summer and I was able to walk in the sand and dip into the ocean. *w00t* I couldn't decide which picture would work best for the theme so I decided to post both of them. *lovely* Pictures taken on August 17, 2008.
#317 - HELP
When the music gets wet - which happens if you leave your music map outside during a slightly chilly and humid night - a ping-pong table offers the help to dry them. *lol* Luckily, they weren't my sheets. Although I did water my mobile phone the day before with coffee and it hasn't been working since. :( Picture taken on August 19, 2008.

#247 - TRADITION
Whenever there are choir trips or choir gatherings - and we were in some way on a little choir trip - it is a long standing tradition (no matter what ensemble I'm with) that at some point during the night, especially after concerts, the whole group or parts of it start singing evening songs or other very special songs. Our five men are all alumni of the famous Kreuzchor of Dresden (a boy's choir) so they have a large repertoire of pieces for male chorus. So they serenaded us girls with some of them. *lovely* Picture taken on August 20, 2008.

#337 - FUZZY
I was struggling with my camera, trying to find the perfect setting to capture people and the ambience of the fire. It makes for funny effects like this one, where you can see the two people very sharp in one position and pretty fuzzy (especially the guy because he was actually moving) in another. #235 - UMBRELLA
The last two days were a bit rainy, which didn't keep us from sitting around the fire. We just had to get the help of a few umbrellas. This guy looked particularly funny with the very colorful umbrella and the little kid's rain jacket he somehow saw fit for protecting him from the rain. Picture taken on August 23, 2008.

#054 - FESTIVAL
Every summer, there's an open air film festival in Dresden, at the right bank of the river Elbe. In all the six years I've been living here this has actually been the first time that I saw a movie during this festival. We watched "27 Dresses" and really enjoyed it. But what made the whole experience even more enjoyable is the view of the screen with the illuminated historic buildings of Dresden in the background. Picture taken on August 5, 2008.
