Meet Jerry, the new cat living with my parents and grandparents. Here, he's relaxing in his favorite and most comfortable, snuggly pose. :) Picture taken on September 24, 2008.
I snagged Helen's idea for this one (hope you don't mind :smooch:). I wasn't planning to, but during our photo session Jerry yawned and I caught it on camera and like in Helen's photo of Izzy it looks like he's the wildest cat on the planet. :D Picture taken on September 24, 2008.
This picture was supposed to show the whole cat but he was jumping and climbing way too fast for my little camera, so everything that's left to show that he is indeed climbing, is his long tail. :D Picture taken on September 24, 2008.
Jerry, trying to discover everything that's left to discover in our house, like that his paws do leave paw prints on a dusty black piano or that there really isn't anything behind the door except for the heater and the ironing board next to the wardrobe. :D Pictures taken on September 24, 2008.
Ten days after my real birthday it was my birthday again, because Kerri's package finally arrived today! :w00t: :lovely: Right there on the customs declaration it says "Gift". Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise, Kerri. You're in for quite the birthday surprise yourself. :) Pictures taken on September 22, 2008.
A big part of the package: ballpoint pens!! :w00t: The kind that don't screw with your fingers when you write a lot and that are a US exclusive product. Thank you! I'm sure they'll last me a while. *lol* :smooch: Picture taken on September 22, 2008.
The package also held four bags of Life Savers! :w00t: *lol* Kerri gave me some of her Life Savers for my flight back (after New Year's) and I loved them. Now I have a lot of them to almost last me a lifetime, or at least until my next birthday. ;) Thank you again. :smooch: I can't wait to try Orange and Sweet Mint. :w00t: Picture taken on September 22, 2008.
The windows of my apartment are facing West and North so there's no real chance at catching a decent sunrise with the sun actually in it. This picture was taken pretty early in the morning, and I think it still counts as sunrise. It's the view from my North window and you can see the light of the rising sun on the building across the street. Picture taken on September 13, 2008.
This is the timetable for one of my choirs here in Dresden, pinned to my notice board. A pretty busy September it is... Picture taken on September 21, 2008.
I obviously didn't succeed in completing the challenge, though not for lack of interest but because life (thesis writing, lots of concerts, etc.) got in the way. Let's hope I'll be more successful with 365 in 2009. After all it's one photo less. ;)
Here are the themes of the 366 in 2008. And these are the themes I was able to complete.
365 in 2009
Taken: 166
Remaining: 249
Once again, I wasn't able to finish the challenge - work, music, and life in general got in the way. It's not really for lack of photos - I took quite a lot and quite a few good ones in 2009 - but for lack of time to prepare and post them here that I so unceremoniously dropped out of the challenge.
The themes I was able to complete can be found here and I might post the complete 2009 theme list - if I can find the time...
