#177 - LOOKING DOWN (9 of 365)
Looking down on the pavement I see this plaque on the line where the wall that separated Berlin for almost 30 year used to stand. The line follows the complete length of the wall through Berlin, it's like walking along a historical path, yet one that even I don't remember that fondly.

All of us blokes wore shoes with toes like that when the wall was erected, lucky they are gone too!
Christin, I am so enjoying your scenes of your country. I got to visit there twice and I loved it! Great photo!
I remember the sense of dread here in the US when the wall went up. I was a young child, and I didn't really understand what was going on, but the sense of fear was tangible. And I remember the elation when it came down. Thanks for posting that.
Cool pic and love the tips of your pumps in the pic!!
That is a really neat shot. A constant reminder for Berliners of the not so distant past...
This photo is a wonderful snapshot of history. I remember watching on TV when the Wall came down.
What a neat shot! Seeing a bit of history this way is so interesting. I've really enjoyed looking at your photos so far!
