White fur never photographs well or easily. Add backlighting to that and this is what comes out: A cozy Diego, bathed in white light. It is an unintentionally beautiful picture!

A moving cat and bad lighting make for looooong shutter times. And sometimes funny things come out of it, like in this picture where Diego seems to have lost the upper left half of his face and his ear. :D Motion blur at its best. :D

This is actually my favorite of today's lot. Even though he is not directly looking at the camera, Diego's amber eyes really strike you in this picture and stand out against all the black and white of his fur. And I just love how peaceful and content he looks...

Diego loved the Christmas tree and always tried (and succeeded) to grab some ornaments and then spread them all around the apartment, preferably under the couch. He was pretty sad that I took down his green, needling friend and playground today. Poor kitty. :D
