I know that shiny also means cool or wonderful, but in this case I'm going with the more literal meaning of the word. This is the ceiling of the Semperoper Dresden, illumated by lots of lamps on the side and the wonderful antique chandelier in the middle, leaving the opera in a warm and shiny glow. :)

This store front displays the world famous and very traditional Meißen Porcelain. Meißen is a small city a few kilometers from Dresden and the famous porcelain is something the Saxonians (Saxony is one of the 16 Länder that make up the Federal Republic of Germany) are quite proud of.
